If I want to be a model, I will have to eat air
This gorgeous (although very gloomy) creature is called Elizabeth Green. I lifted her picture from my friend Mia’s site, MamaMia. (As an aside: MamaMia is just about the best one-person, all-singing, all-dancing online chick blog/site/multi-media entertainment hub in the world. I am not kidding).
But. Back to Elizabeth. She is a model, but not a “normal” model, she’s a “Plus-sized” model and the face and “plus-sized” body of an Australian “Plus-sized” modeling agency.
Does she look at all plus-sized to you? Perhaps she is so gloomy because she is considering the crazy notion that, although she appears to be …what? A perfectly healthy and attractive size …12? 14? in the mad world of fashion she is way too big for a “normal” agency, and must ply her trade in the dark fashion shadows (aka “plus-szed agencies”), so as not to turn the Karls, Stellas and Toms off their food.
With 50% of our country obese, and the stats for Australia, GB and The States about the same, It must surely be time to get real and call all beautiful bodies what they are. Just beautiful bodies.
