WHAT DO A PAIR OF £125,000 SHOES LOOK LIKE?

by hurricanevanessa on May 22, 2011

Very pretty.

The Italian footwear designer Giuseppe Zanotti teamed up with the Swiss watchmaker, Chopard to design the pink satin sandals, which were weighed down with two carats of diamonds, 199 carats of pink sapphires and 134 carats of rubies set on rose gold chains.

The shoes had no less than 600 sparkling stones, and totalled 360 carats. They were worn by Anja Rubik and auctioned by Eva Herzigova and  bought by an anonymous bidder for US $202,900 at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes last week.

Can I whisper very quietly that …they don’t look that special?

But I suppose they were sold for a good cause – so that must be OK, then.

Do you wear it after 1) someone else’s feet were in them and 2) it has all those carats on them. What if you trip?

The shoes are BORING but can we talk about the blue muppet who had to die tragically for that dress?
