RANDOM ACT OF RETAIL HORRIBLENESS OF THE DAY: BEHOLD THE “I’M TOO PRETTY …” SWEAT SHIT.

From American Classic Retailer: J.C Penney.

For just $9.99, American mothers can destroy their girl child’s self-esteem, re-inforce the notion that boys are smarter, more diligent and need to work harder than girls, remind girls that if they’re “pretty” they don’t need to bother with an education, while making them wear something which is so ugly that even if it’s decoration was a quote from Albert Einstein, it would still not justify it’s existence.

Horrible on so many levels.

And worst of all?

J.C Penney suggest it is paired with a sweatshit (that was on purpose, btw,) from their “self esteem” range.

Oh how I laughed.

A bitter laugh.

Think I have to have made this up? If only.

I would like to say thanks to the individuals responsible for the removal of the “I’m too pretty to do homework so my brother has to do it for me” tee shirts, from JC Penny’s. This is the greatest advertisement ever for this shirt. I plan on taking full advantage of your arrogant efforts and make the shirts myself , for sale. Yes I will make money off of your efforts, efforts of the people responsible. Those who feel, they must censor others rights of, choice and free speech. While our country is in a great financial crises, our boys and girls are being sacrificed in the Middle East, and drugs poor across our borders you find that a tee shirt deserves such effort.

Thanks again and I will fully enjoy every dime, I make from these shirts.

Jim US Veteran and soon to be supplier of tee shirts.

PS Please keep up the great efforts

Oh Jim, please meet my friend logic and see how these two thoughts do not follow from one another:
    1. While our country is in a great financial crises, our boys and girls are being sacrificed in the Middle East, and drugs poor across our borders….
    and….
    2. you find that a tee shirt deserves such effort.

Please explain. Or perhaps to a woman with an education, I simply cannot understand concepts like this.

Oh how I wish I could turn back time and start relying on my looks and playing dumb. Maybe I’d have a lovely little husband an no ambition. Maybe I’d shut my head in the oven.

The point of free speech, Jim, is that we GET to say we hate your shirt and its message and yes, you get to sell it.
