Hooray! Hooray!
Blogging is a solitary pastime.
It is back-braking and butt-spreading work, probably (given that visual) best done alone.
I blog mostly at the crack of dawn or in the dead of night, often wondering why I do it, and whether I have lost my mind.
I often feel as if I am totally alone, other than the anonymous and probably equally bonkers inhabitants of the internet …and my own warped sense of humour.
It’s easy, on a blog like this, which doesn’t seem to elicit much conversation, to forget that there are other people out there.
This week, I guess I got reminded that I’m not alone: Hurricane V passed a magic number of page views – 2 000 000! It passed it’s highest daily figures – 10 000!
And I cracked 5000 followers on Twitter. (@HurricaneVaness – feel free to join if you’re not already.)
Hooray.
At the risk of bringing myself to the attention of one of my all-time favourite Twitter feeds (@HumbleBrag,) tonight, in the small hours, I shall throw myself a little celebration party (and pour myself a Horlicks, or something.)
