Pretty people, ugly lives.
Has anyone not heard about the tape of that old charmer Mad Mel ranting abuse at the mother of his latest (8th) child, Oksana Grigorieva?
To recap (and for those who have not had the pleasure of listening in, say on RadarOnline, who broke the story), amongst other charming endearments he calls her a “Vegas whore” and says, “You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault.”
He continues, “”You provoked it. You are provocatively dressed.”
Of course, if you are judged to be “provocatively dressed,” you deserve all the terrible things that could happen to you.
Don’t you?
Well, no, of course, you don’t.
You should be able to wear exactly what you please, without fear of being raped by anyone.
Or attacked by a violent lunatic, like Mad Max.
But, normal rules don’t apply, of course, if you make the mistake of getting mixed up with someone like him.
Many men, (notably, the taxi drivers of this country, for e.g,) believe that women “ask for it,” should she so much as wear a short skirt in their presence. In this belief, they would certainly find some common ground with Gibson.
“Oksana: You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands! You! What kind of man is that? Hitting a woman when she’s holding a child in her hands! Breaking her teeth twice in the face! What kind of man is that?
Mel: Hm, oh, you’re all angry now.
Oksana: You know what?
Mel: Because you fucking deserved it.”
What had she done to “deserve it?”
What had she worn?
In the interests of research, let’s check out a few of Oksana’s recent outfits:
Slut!
Provocative!
How dare she!
How dare she go out in public dressed like this?
Etc.
Etc
Etc.
Evidence, if any is needed, that Gibson’s judgement is not to be trusted.
However.
Even if she had walked the streets of Malibu dressed like this:
Oksana, in happier, pre-Mel days.
It would still not have given any man the right to hurt her.
You could be uncharitable and say 1) this outcome could hardly be a surprise to her. Gibson was not exactly unblemished by madness, meaness and violence before she decided to hop into bed and have a child with him and 2) maybe the tapes were entrapment and 3) maybe she isn’t an angel, herself. Maybe she’s set up the tape, the pictures …everything. Maybe she is a little bit of a gold digger – who knows?
Maybe she is a nasty, manipuative piece of work.
At best, she is probably either unintelligent or totally devoid of common sense or decent values.
Maybe she thought the fame and the cash was worth the risk.
But, you know what?
No-one should hit nasty, stupid, manipulative or greedy pieces of work, either.
