Amidst the usual fanfare, Kristen Stewart customised a pair of Vans shoes to launch Vans Custom Culture.
I suppose it must have seen like such a fabulous PR idea for the American classic sneaker/loafer hybrid, at the time. Get celebs to customise the shoe, and in doing so, inspire thousands of American school children to do the same, then hand out a large cash prize to the Arts programme of the school attended by the scholar deemed to have done best.
But Kristen’s “effort” left much to be desired.
I’d give her an f- and a “could do better,” if I was asked.
Let’s hope the other celebrities involved (Whitney Port, Conan O Brien and Rachel Billson) tried harder.
