Much as I hate to bitch, and yes, grovel, grovel thank you very much etc, it is delightful to see a larger star anywhere, let alone a larger star on the cover of an actual magazine … but …
Here I go:
Is there a memo somewhere out there in international magazine land?
Does that memo stipulate that if one is to shoot a “big” star, (such as, and in this case, Melissa McCarthy, the star of TV’s Mike and Molly and the smash hit, Bridesmaids,) for a magazine, she should only be 1) shot from the neck up, 2) shot clad in unflattering and depressing black from head to toe and 3) shot in “arty”plus shadowy “keep the “offensive bits” hidden,” black and white?
I think there must be.
Let’s call it the “Adele Memo.”
