One of the great perks of motherhood is that I am up, every morning, in time to enjoy this:
The view from my front door, at the crack of dawn. Worth getting up for.
Unfortunately, while, I am up in time for the glorious sunrise, I rarely GET to enjoy the glorious sunrise, because I am The Mommy and I am urgently required to watch this:
I'd rather be looking at mountains.
I hate children’s TV.
And then I come into work and think about …this:
"Oh! So YOU'RE the children's mother! What do you do for a living?"
Does the combination of highly contrasting elements in my life make me interesting, or bonkers, I wonder, on a day when they do not seem to so much as co-exist, but collide? Or am I just a mother? All mothers juggle, after all.
I would ask the Guru for his take on the matter, but he, being The Parent Who Is Not A Mother, is fast asleep, snoring peacefully, under a nice warm duvet.
