DIE ANTWOORD AND CHILD, THEN AND NOW. COURTESY OF ROLLING STONE SOUTH AFRICA AND A VINTAGE OBRIGADO.

by hurricanevanessa on February 1, 2012

"Zef's first family" on the third cover of our own local Rolling Stone are funny, fierce and fully packaged. After all "Mr Watkin Tudor-Jones, his lovely lady, “(ex) romance novelist” Anri Du Toit and their adorable baby …er…16." were not born this way.

Let’s take a look back in time …

BLESS.

The Royal Familie.

Ok someone pinch me….. Im an old school punk rocker so not much shocks me, but somethings make me just hoze myself. This is one of those pics that make me piss my pants. The answer have forgotten the question or was there a question in order for there to be an answer. The plot has not been lost but it has been excavated beyond recognition. It is amazing what a little cash and fame can do to a dull family with nothing to loose. I just hope not everyone around the world phinks that phis is haw we taalk in SOUF Afwika ook. I really hope for their sake they get a new AUTO TUNER.

Oh come now, mister faded punk rocker! Waddy has found a way to pay Sixteen’s way through school and whatever comes after, and they are having some family fun along the way! He is and always has been a very innovative and pioneering musician, and I, for one, salute him and his very little woman for what they are doing. I played the non-explicit version of Die Antwoord to my middle school kids here in South Korea and they LOVED it! It doesn’t have to be so fucking serious, you know.

Hi Vanessa

It’s Vida e Caffé… not “Vide E”.

Or did you mean ‘E Magazine’, which is isn’t. It’s a print title.

Goodbye then

This blog is littered with errors.
That happens because I mostly post at 4am. Or midnight.
And I never proof read, because I haven’t the time.
Apologies.
And good-bye back.

Nice response Hurricane. I mean, it is your blog, you can write what you want and how. No need for the grammar nazi’s to go insane.

I for one am sick and tired of the anti-Antwoord backlash. If you don’t like the band, fine, don’t listen to it, but the constant smug “they’re just poseurs and I’m far too smart to fall for their act” schtick is annoying. Yes, they are an ACT, like Lady Gaga, or Marilyn Manson, or KISS, or numerous other bands that dress and act outlandishly to be unique and memorable.

The music video. With Sixteen making her debut.

Thoughts? Good idea to have Sixteen who is, i think, around six in this music vid?

Rhyan Rockingrolling Rudman, Did you have a point in all that rambling?….

minka October 28, 2012 at 15:07

@Kinbane : No i guess he ( RockingrollingRudman ) was just borred, tht´s how him got here. And then he recordnized that he was not borred anymore so he wanted to let us know.

By the way : i don´t think and never will think of em´that they just ACTing. All of us are like we are. I like the way i am and i like the way they are. I dont need more to know bout that opinion of mine.
