Laeticia Cast (one of my all-time favourites) starts 2010 starring on the cover of French Vogue, Linda Evangelista has had her W moment, Claudia, Helena and Eva were a sexy and ageless triumverate on I-D.
And the there was the rise, again, of Helena Christiansen.
Helena has been naked on I-D. In knickers on ELLE . Hell, she was even on the last issue of Cookie!
In 2009 she has been on FHM (At 40? You go, girl!) and on InStyle and a Vogue.
And now, she is both naked and re-imagined as part naughty Betty Draper/part naked goddess on Citizen K.
I still don’t understand why, right now, in fashion magazines, models all have to be naked, or nearly so, but repetition and whingeing is …dull.
And these covers are simultaneously pretty and fierce.
I might just take a moment to enjoy looking at them.
