Here’s our glorious August cover, starring the fabulous Candice Boucher.
It is her third SA COSMO cover.
She’s such a pro at rocking the COSMO look, that the shoot, in NYC, was done and dusted in a matter of a few short hours.
Oh, and of course, she was bang on time.
Wore all the clothes and was a sweetie-pie throughout.
We couldn’t help ourselves. We asked her about taking all her clothes off for her wild editorial spread and cover for Playboy.
Here’s a taste of what she said:
Q: It seems like a bold move for a model to do Playboy. Was it at all strategic?
A: “Honestly, I never thought about it like that. I have been asked three or four times and have always said no. But I wanted to have a platform and a voice after the shoot and raise awareness of the charity I support in SA (My life) It wasn’t about my career – although I did ask all my agencies first to make sure it wouldn’t be a bad thing for my career. If you’d asked me a year ago, I’d have said “absolutely not,” and if you ask me in 5 years time, I’ll say “absolutely not.” *
Q: Is being shot nude empowering?
A I feel good about it now, but I wouldn’t say my sexiest is without clothes. With a bikini? Not really, either. I’d say I feel sexiest wearing something that is body-hugging.”
Q: Is it weird talking to guys who’ve seen you naked in Playboy?
A: …..
For more on that subject and masses extra besides, I think, you’ll have to buy COSMO.
(Apologies. I do have hundreds of children to educate. And being paid to take off my clothes, for mega-bucks, is for many obvious reasons, not an option. And COSMO is, in my opinion, worth every cent.)
Out next Wednesday..
* Oh bless models and beauty queens. It’s always about saving he animals and the children, isn’t it? But we love her. We forgive her.
